TECHNICAL ISSUES (PCC)

I am unable to login to the PCC with my username & password.

I forgot my PCC password.
I forgot my PCC password and used the "Forgot Password?" link to get a new password. The instructions say that I should receive an e-mail in my GAGGLE E-mail Account with a new temporary password but I did not receive an e-mail.

How do I change my PCC Account password?

I chose to change my PCC Account password using the "Change My Password" link on the My Profile page. I was taken to a page that said my password has been successfully reset but now I cannot login with that new password.

 

TECHNICAL ISSUES (GAGGLE E-mail)

I am unable to login to my GAGGLE E-mail Account with my username & password.

ABOUT THE NPSB PARENT COMMAND CENTER



What is the NPSB Parent Command Center (PCC)? | back to top
The NPSB Parent Command Center (PCC) in an internet application that serves the parents of the entire Natchitoches Parish School Board by providing on-demand and up-to-date Student Information Data through an easy-to-use browser interface. The student information it provides to parents is harvested from the MTS (Methods' Teacher System), a school system data storage and reporting application that teachers, administrators and staff members use to capture student information for in-parish and state reporting purposes. Through the NPSB PCC, parents have access to virtually all of their student's educational information.

Parents with access to the system are able to view the following types of information:

  • Parent Profile Details
  • Student Demographics Details
  • Authorized Pickups
  • Bus Information
  • Class Schedules
  • Class Grades
  • Attendance Information
  • Discipline Information
  • Transcript Information
  • Gradebook Information

GAGGLE is an online, safe e-mail service for students and parents. Information about the company and the services it provides can be found by visiting the GAGGLE website.

What is the difference between the NPSB PCC & GAGGLE E-mail Accounts? | back to top


The Parent Command Center and the GAGGLE Parent E-mail Accounts are 2 completely different systems.

 

NPSB Parent Command Center is where you login to view your child's education information and data.

 

GAGGLE Parent E-mail Account is a FREE webmail service provided to NPSB Parents.

It is your official NPSB e-mail account for all communications related to your student's educational information.

Check your GAGGLE e-mail account frequently.

NPSB administration, staff members and teachers will send all relevant notices and student information to you through this account.

 

When you use the "Forgot Password" Feature on the PCC Login Page, the PCC sends a temporary password to THIS e-mail account.

It DOES NOT send the temporary password to your personal e-mail account unless you have FORWARDING turned on in your GAGGLE preferences.


You may use it as a normal e-mail account just like you use Gmail or Hotmail or Yahoo! on the web.

When you received your NPSB PCC & GAGGLE E-mail Account information and subsequently logged in to the PCC, you agreed to the following terms of our security agreement:

  • Any information obtained from the NPSB Parent Command Center will be used for school purposes only, is confidential and shall be treated as such.
  • NPSB Parent Command Center student information shall not be left displayed on unattended computer monitors.
  • Any printed information from the system shall not be left in non-secure areas.
  • All printed copies that have no further value shall be shredded and NOT placed in any trash receptacle.
  • The GAGGLE e-mail account is available for my use only as long as funding exists to support it.
  • The GAGGLE e-mail account service ceases to be financially supported by the parish, I will be able to continue using the username associated with it to access the NPSB Parent Command Center.

The NPSB Parent Command Center uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption so that no “plain text” information is exchanged between the server and your PC.

ACCOUNTS



Account Creation & Account Information Delivery | back to top

After enrollment ends for each new school year, NPSB automatically creates PCC & GAGGLE E-mail Accounts for the primary parent/guardian of each newly enrolled NPSB Student.

Each NPSB school sends account information home with each student to the primary parent/guardian of the student.

Primary Parents/Guardians who have existing accounts from previous school years will receive their current account information as well.

 

New & Existing Account information is sent home with the student in two separate packets:

PART 1: contains the primary parent/guardian account username and a section for the primary parent/guardian to sign and return to school verifying the receipt of the username
PART 2: contains the account password to be used in combination with the previously delivered username for login purposes.
Both parts contain instructions for locating the PCC & GAGGLE Login Pages and for logging into the accounts.


After you have received both packets containing your Account Information:
  • Go to our parish website (www.nat.k12.la.us) and click on the Parent Command Center Login Button or browse to https://apps.nat.k12.la.us/msisonline/index.html
  • On the Login page, enter the assigned USERNAME & PASSWORD and click the Login button.
  • Follow the RESET PASSWORD prompts.
  • Securely browse and view your child(ren)’s information.
  • Login to your GAGGLE E-mail Account.
  • Go to our parish website (www.nat.k12.la.us) and click on the Parent E-mail Login Button or browse to https://www.nat.k12.la.us/gaggle_login/gaggle_login.html
  • Follow the RESET PASSWORD prompts.
  • Provide an Outside E-mail Address for your GAGGLE E-mail Account.
  • Providing an Outside E-mail Address will allow you to use GAGGLE's "Forgot Your Password?" Feature in the event that you forget or misplace your GAGGLE Account password.

 

What to do if you DID NOT RECEIVE your PCC & GAGGLE E-mail Account information:

  • If you are the Primary Parent/Guardian currently enrolled NPSB student, and you did not receive the account information listed above, please notify the appropriate administrative staff member of any NPSB School in which you have a student enrolled.
  • They can determine whether or not they still have your packets on file.
  • Check with your child(ren) to see if the packets were misplaced or forgotten in the process of delivery.
  • If you have checked with the school and there is no evidence that your packets were misplaced, submit a Request for Technical Support so that we can assist you with this issue.

  • When you are logged into the Parent Command Center, go to the My Profile Page or the My Students Page.
  • On the right side of the page there is an area with information about combining multiple accounts.

 

Parent/Guardian Access to Student Information for 18-year old students | back to top
In accordance with State and Federal Privacy Laws, students who are 18-years old or older, have the right to restrict parent/guardian access to their academic/educational information. For students who are 18 years of age or will turn 18 years of age in any academic year will receive a notification letter/form of their privacy rights by which they can restrict parent/guardian access to their information. Details of the student's privacy rights are included in the letter/form.

If you are having trouble accessing your NPSB Parent Command Center Account (unable to login, incomplete data, web pages not rendering properly, unexpected logouts, etc), please submit a Request for Technical Support so that we can assist you with this issue.

I am unable to login to the PCC with my username and password. | back to top

  • Either your username and/or your password that you entered DO NOT match our records.
  • Confirm that you entered both exactly as they appeared in your account information packets (if this is your first login) or that the password you entered exactly matches the one that you personally created.
  • Remember that usernames and passwords are case-sensitive so take this into consideration when you are troubleshooting this issue.
  • WHEN YOU LOGIN TO YOUR PCC ACCOUNT YOU MUST ENTER YOUR ENTIRE USERNAME / E-MAIL ADDRESS.
  • IF YOU ONLY ENTER A PORTION OF IT YOUR LOGIN ATTEMPT WILL FAIL.
  • If you are unable to successfully login after following the instructions above, please submit a Request for Technical Support so that we can assist you with this issue.

I forgot my PCC Password? | back to top
  • Click on the "Forgot Password?" link located under the login area on the PCC Login page.
  • Read the instructions on the left side of the "Request Temporary Password" page.
  • Enter your NPSB PCC username / e-mail address and click the "E-mail My Temporary Password to my GAGGLE E-mail Account" button.
  • When your Temporary Password has been sent successfully to your GAGGLE E-mail Account, a page with a Success message will be displayed.
  • Login to your GAGGLE E-mail Account to retreive your temporary password for the NSPB PCC.
  • WHEN YOU LOGIN TO YOUR GAGGLE E-MAIL ACCOUNT YOU ONLY NEED TO ENTER THE "name.##" PORTION OF YOUR USERNAME / E-MAIL ADDRESS.
  • IF YOU ENTER YOUR ENTIRE USERNAME / E-MAIL ADDRESS, YOUR LOGIN ATTEMPT MAY FAIL.
  • Remember that when you login with a new, temporary password, the PCC system treats it as an initial login and will require you to reset your password to one of your choosing.
  • Instructions and a link to the GAGGLE E-mail Login Page is on the Success message page.

  • Make sure that you are logging into your GAGGLE E-mail Account and NOT a personal or work e-mail account.
  • When the "Forgot Password?" Feature is used, the system sends an e-mail message containing a temporary password to the user's GAGGLE E-mail Account.
  • The subject line of the e-mail will read "Your Requested Account Information from NPSB: Parent Command Center"
  • If there is no e-mail in your GAGGLE Inbox, please check the "Deleted" and "SPAM" folders to see if the e-mail was somehow delivered or placed there.
  • If you have checked your GAGGLE E-mail Account Inbox and other folders and there is no e-mail that contains your temporary password, please submit a Request for Technical Support so that we can assist you with this issue.

How do I change my PCC Account password? | back to top
  • Login to your PCC Account.
  • Go to the My Profile Page.
  • Click on the "Reset My Password" link on the left side of the page.
  • On the Reset My Password Page, enter your current password, your new password and reenter your new password for confirmation.
  • Click the "Reset My Password" button.
  • Password creation instructions and rules are on the left side of the page.
  • If you have followed the instructions and successfully reset your PCC Account password, a Success message page will be displayed with a link back to the My Profile Page.
  • Click the "My Profile" link to return to your account pages.
  • Your new password should go into effect and be valid immediately.

I chose to reset my password using the "Reset My Password" link on the My Profile page.

  • Make sure that you are typing your new password correctly when trying to login.
  • Remember that passwords are case-sensitive so take this into consideration when you are troubleshooting this issue.
  • If you are still not able to login, you may use the "Forgot Password?" feature as a work around for this issue.
  • When you use this feature, the system creates a new, temporary password for you and delivers it to your GAGGLE E-mail Account.
  • You can retrieve the new, temporary password from your GAGGLE E-mail account and use it to regain access to your PCC Account.
  • Just remember that when you login with a new, temporary password, the system treats it as an initial login and will require you to reset your password to one of your choosing.
  • If you've tried the above troubleshooting tips and are still unable to login, please submit a Request for Technical Support so that we can assist you with this issue.

TECHNICAL ISSUES (GAGGLE)


I am unable to login to my GAGGLE E-mail Account with my username and password. | back to top
  • This means that either your username and/or your password that you entered DO NOT match GAGGLE's user authentication records.
  • Make sure that you entered both correctly and exactly as they appeared on the documentation provided to you by your school (if this is your first login) or that the password you enter exactly matches the one that you personally created.
  • Remember that usernames and passwords are case-sensitive so take this into consideration when you are troubleshooting this issue.
  • PLEASE NOTE! WHEN YOU LOGIN TO YOUR GAGGLE E-MAIL ACCOUNT YOU ONLY NEED TO ENTER THE FIRST PORTION OF YOUR USERNAME / E-MAIL ADDRESS (user.##).
  • IF YOU ENTER THE ENTIRE USERNAME / E-MAIL ADDRESS YOUR LOGIN ATTEMPT MAY FAIL.
  • If you still receive this message after troubleshooting according to the instructions above, please submit a Request for Technical Support so that we can assist you with this issue.

 

I forgot my GAGGLE Password? | back to top
  • Go to the GAGGLE Login Page and click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link.
  • This will take you to GAGGLE's website where you can request that a link to reset your password be sent to your Outside E-mail Address.
  • Enter your PCC / GAGGLE username and then enter the letters that appear in the Verification Area.
  • Click the "Submit" button.
  • Check your Outside E-mail Address Account for an e-mail from GAGGLE that contains a link that will allow you to reset your GAGGLE Account password.
